Help build Peace in Kenya and raise funds for the HIV/AIDS work of Mennonite Central Committee by supporting Cycle for Life: Build Peace, Stop AIDS. The Alberta portion of Cycle for Life has just finished! We are at the MCC Summerfest in Sherwoood Park, and rode in the bike-a-thon on July 8. Our final mileage was 1496km, and so far $237,500 has been raised! Thank you to all of our sponsors, and everyone who donated, prayed and followed our progress . MCC's Kenyan partner, the Lari Memorial Peace Museum, invited the cyclists to ride in Kenya to raise the profile of the work being done to overcome the wounds and conflict of Kenya’s violent history. The experiences and stories emerging from the ride will be captured in a video.
