1000 Acts of Peace
|
This is a promo video for MCC Alberta's exciting new peace blog! 1000 Acts of Peace. Growing out of the challenge presented on a website, "One Thousand Acts of Peace," we have been developing a program that gives youth an opportunity to engage in peace. What started as a challenge to youth to do 3 acts of peace each day for a year, has now become a peace blog for people of all ages and around the world. A place to stop and talk with others about peace making. 1000 Acts of Peace is about that. Acting for peace. Writing about Peace. Thinking about Peace. And "talking" with each other, across faith, age, gender and social boundaries. Young and old. From around the world. We believe in peace because of our faith in Jesus Christ and his call for us to be peacemakers. Why do you believe in peace? MCC Alberta invites you, everyone, from around the world, of all ages, to help us raise the profile of being Peace Makers in this lovely, mysterious world that we share with each other. Please participate with us in "1000 Acts of Peace" by visiting actsofpeace.mcc.org and sending your stories, comments, thoughts, pictures, ... so all who visit "1000 Acts of Peace" will be motivated, and encouraged to take our place as the peace makers that God has called us all to be. We are interested in connecting with individuals, parents, teachers, schools, youth groups, churches, ... to share about this exciting blog! If you are interested in learning more or having MCC Alberta's Peace Team visit your school please contact Megan (403.275.6935 or meganenns@mccab.org) Let's do something together that just might change the world a little bit! |
